Notary Rates

Two appointment types, and two ways to meet: in person, or remote online notarization. A small booking fee secures your request; everything else is disclosed and agreed to before your appointment is confirmed, per Michigan law. For cancellation, rescheduling, and refund terms, see our Notary Booking Policy.

Booking fees

Standard Appointment

In Person
$20
Remote
$15

For appointments with normal advance notice. For in-person appointments, your booking fee is applied to your total; it's refundable if you cancel or reschedule at least 12 hours ahead.

Rush Appointment

In Person
$30
Remote
$25

For appointments booked on short notice. Rush booking fees are non-refundable once your appointment is confirmed.

In-person clients choose how to pay the rest: in full through a secure payment link before your appointment, or at time of service (cash or card). There's no price difference between the two, it's simply whichever is more convenient for you.

Remote online notarization

Simple, consolidated pricing

Remote is simple: your booking fee ($15 Standard, $25 Rush) is the complete charge from us, other than an after-hours add-on ($20) if your appointment falls outside 8am–7pm. No convenience fee, no facility fee, no travel fee.

The notarization itself is billed separately, directly by BlueNotary, our remote notarization platform. We handle the booking fee shown above; BlueNotary handles billing for the notarization itself. See BlueNotary's fee schedule for their current rates — you'll see that as its own charge from BlueNotary when your session runs, separate from what you pay us.

A note on pricing

Michigan law caps the notarial act fee at $10 per signature and requires it to be disclosed before your appointment. For in-person appointments, we price at or below that cap directly. For remote appointments, BlueNotary handles the notarial act fee as part of its own platform charge. Everything else on this page is priced by us, not the state, and you'll always see your full itemized quote before anything beyond your booking fee is charged.
